About Us

The City of Aberdeen Swim Team (COAST) was established in February 1996 by 6 local swimming clubs operating within the locality of the City of Aberdeen, to create, with the support of Aberdeen City council (at that time) a new approach to managing competitive swimming in the city. The clubs are :-

Aberdeen Dolphin ASC

Bon Accord Thistle ASC

Bridge of Don ASC

Bucksburn ASC

Cults Otters ASC

Dyce ASC

They are referred to as the Constituent Clubs.

Since then COAST has become one of the top teams in Scotland, providing a focused competitive  programme for the elite swimmers in Aberdeen.

Olympians such as David Carry and Robbie  Renwick progressed through the squads of COAST on their roads to success at both Commonwealth Games and the Olympics.

The team trains in the excellent facilities at Aberdeen Sports Village, details of how to find us are provided under the About COAST tab
