Cindy Hanegraaf
Head Swimming
Cindy has worked with WSC since 2003, and prior to that was an active 'swim parent’ with the club. With her swimming roots in the USA, Cindy qualified in the UK to teach swimming at all levels, and is involved in preparing the younger swimmers for competitive swimming. She also teaches disability swimming and provides 'learn to swim’ programmes for children and adults.
Cindy holds an ASA Level 2 Aquatics Teaching qualification and has additional qualifications for teaching children with disabilities. She is responsible for WSC Pre-Development and Development 1 squads, and supports the Development 2 squad.
Cindy has programmed, manages and teaches within the new WSC Swim Academy which provides swimmers between the ages of 4-6 'learn-to-swim' instruction with competitive stroke technique standards.
She is also a graphic designer, an avid gardener, and works in a bookshop.
Magda Klosowska
Coach - Comp Dev
Magda has been involved in swimming for most of her life. She joined her local club in her native Poland at the age of eight and progressed all the way through to National level.
For the last six years she has been working as a swimming instructor and coach for various swimming schools and clubs around London. Magda is qualified to ASA Level 3. She joined WSC in January 2012 and currently she is head of Comp Dev and Dev 2 squads but also helps with the training for Regional and National swimmers as well as supporting Cindy with the Dev 1.
Timothy D Robinson
Coach - Dev 2
Tim is joining us as a coach for the Development 2 squad for the 2017/2018 season, having been a member of the Club since the age of 4.
Still an active swimmer in the club, his days of serious competitive swimming are over but he has a wealth of knowledge to bring to the young swimmers.
Tim’s achievements in swimming are many. Notably, he was top boy in the Bagcats at Surrey Counties for 3 consecutive years, on one occasion achieving 13 golds. In addition, he won top boy at London Regionals several times. He represented London at International Open Meets (Geneva and Barcelona) and was selected over many years for the ‘England Talent’ group.
One of Tim's greatest achievements was coming third at the British open water nationals in 2013. He also competed at the 2012 Olympic trials for 1500 m freestyle. Having recently finished a Sport and Exercise Science degree at the University of Bath, he hopes to put his knowledge into practice by helping all of the swimmers in the club, from pre-development to national level in areas such as nutrition, injuries and performance.
