Nathan is one of the UK's keading performance swimming coaches
and is an ASA Coach (Level 4). Nathan has been Director of
Coaching at Nova Centurion since April 2014 and has been Head Coach
to Team GB's Youth Olympic teams in Singapore 2010 & Nanjing,
China 2014 plus various European & World Junior Championships.
Throughout his career Nathan has always tried to coach the
individual not just the athlete which has led to Nathan coaching
numerous National, European & World Junior Champions as well as
various Senior International athletes.

Glenn has been coaching
with Nova in Mansfield for over 20 years, and has coached Swimmers
to National and International Success, and has a wealth of
knowledge and experience.
Glenn has coached Paralympic Champions Ollie Hynd
MBE & Sam Hynd and Paralympic Medalist Charlotte Henshaw, and
talent id and developed Rebecca Adlington as an age group swimmer.
He has also placed Swimmers on World Class Able Bodied Programmes
and International teams and coached numerous National Age group
& Youth medalists.

Joe Stanford

Joe
prioritises the importance for swimmers to achieve mastery of
stroke mechanics as the foundation of success. Leading by example
Joe, has a vigorous work ethic and passion for sport which is
inspirational.
Sponsored by the Amateur Swimming Association, Joe
began his coaching career in 2010. He gained various professional
qualifications including ASA/UKCC Level 3 UKCC Certificate for
Coaching Swimming (Performance). In order to understand and
implement the latest acadephmic research in his practice, Joe is
currently studying PhD in Sport and Exercise Psychology at
Nottingham Trent University. His work is currently focused on the
role that individual personalities have on emotional
regulation.
He
is the first to stress that both athletes and coaches need to
combind academic understanding as well as practical
experience; in order to maximise their potential. Having coached
multiple National Champions, Joe aims to relate excellent practice
from National Level Coaching to Club level within
Nottinghamshire.
Highly regarded for his outstanding coaching,
depth of knowledge, leadership, enthusiasm, and humility, Joe
creates an exciting dynamic on the Nova Centurion coaching staff
and within the team itself.
