ALL CASC Members - Competitive Squads (Pre-Squad through to Platinum), Water-Polo (ONLY if CASC is the primary fee-paying club) and Masters - may enter these Championships.

Entry fees are £5.00 per event, £30 for seven or more events. No coaching contribution due for these galas.

All swimmers must sign in for each event that they have entered. If you fail to sign in, you will not be on the heat sheet and will not be allowed to swim.

Please submit as many times as you have on the entry form as all events will be swum as heat declared winners. 

Medals for the top 3 places will be worked out per age group and will be available for collection on the day of the gala.  We will also award ribbons for 4th, 5th and 6th in the relevant age group events.

All trophies will be presented at the Club Presentation event (date to be confirmed).

Swimmers are reminded that entry to our Club Championships is expected of every squad member and only exceptional circumstances should prevent you from entering.  Remember this may be your only chance to gain entry times for the Surrey Championships. 

Open 200m, 400m, 800m & 1500m Events: Any swimmer may enter, but there is only one trophy and awards will only be given to the three fastest swimmers within this age group.

Open 200m Individual Medley: This event will incorporate the CASC Challenge Cup and all those swimmers entering this event will automatically be entered for this Cup, as long as they match the criteria (see below).

50m Sprint Events: These events will incorporate the Diane Bradbridge Trophy for the girls and the Endeavour Trophy for the boys.  All those entered will automatically qualify for the above cups as long as they match the criteria set out (see below).

Open 400m IM, 400m Freestyle, 800m Freestyle & 1500m Freestyle - Please check with your coach if you wish to enter these events as they may not be suitable for your swimmer.

Similarly, if your swimmer is under 10 years old, please check with your coach before entering them into any 100m event or 200m event and the 50m Fly event.

800m Freestyle & 1500m Freestyle will be swum as mixed events and entry will not be restriucted by gender. .

Each event will be swum as heat declared winners.  Fastest times swim last – heats seeded in a “spearhead” formation in these orders (lane numbers from fastest seed time to slowest seed time); 8-lane pools: 4,5,3,6,2,7,1,8 and 6-lane pools: 3,4,2,5,1,6.

In all Open events awards are given to top six swimmers overall. 

In Age group events awards are given to “10 & under”, “11”, “12”, “13”, “14”, “15” and “16 & over”, with the specific exception of all 50m events which give awards to “9 & under”, “10-11”, “12-13”, “14-15” and “16 & over” only.

We remind all those attending these Championships (competitors, coaches, team managers, spectators, officials, volunteers, contracted staff etc.) wishing to use cameras, video or digital image capturing devices (including mobile phones) that they should only do so after reference to their obligations and the recommendations laid down in Wavepower 2016-2019, the ASA Child Safeguarding Policy & Procedures and other ASA Photography guidance. Your adherence to the guidelines and vigilance during the event will assist in our efforts to avoid the misuse of such equipment and the images/videos produced.

CASC Challenge Cup - entry criteria

Swimmers must be 14 years or older as at 31st December 2018 and must have competed in other events in the 2018 Club Championships and who have not won a championship event during this year only.  The event consists of 4x50m Individual Medley.

Diane Bradbridge (Girls) and Endeavour (Boys) Trophies - entry criteria

Swimmers must be under 14 years of age as at 31st December 2018 and must have competed in other events in the 2018 Club Championships and who have never won a Club Championship either this year or any previous year.  The events consist of four separate 50m swims, one for each stroke.  Points are awarded according to placing, 1 point for fastest etc.  The trophy winner is the swimmer with the lowest number of points.
