Surrey Age Group Championships 2019
Surrey ASA has published the accepted entry list for the county champs - all our entries have been accepted. You can access it from the link below. Also the session times have been finalised and can be checked in the 'key times' report below.
Entries are now open for the Surrey County Championships. This is our first major meet of 2019 and the focus of our swimmers' hard training and racing in recent months.
This is a long course (50m) meet taking place over three weekends starting on January 26-27 at Surrey Sports Park, then moving to the fabulous London Aquatic Centre on 9-10 and 23-24 February. The final weekend is set to be fast and loud with a wide spread of our swimmers enjoying the excitment of the sprint races and the relays.
Age groups are based on a swimmer's age at 31st December 2019 and the minimum age is 10 (or 12 for the 400m, 800m and 1500m events). Qualifying times need to have been achieved at a licenced meet since 26th February 2017 and appear on the ASA Rankings Database (link below). The qualifying times are in an attached document and swimmers must meet either the long or short course standard for their age group (no time conversions from one to the other allowed).
Entries must be in the online system by midnight on Monday January 7th. You can add and amend times up to this point. The cost is £7, except for the 800m and 1500m races which are £8.50. Fees will be collected automatically.
Finally, I've attached an eligibility report which is a guide to swimmers who have qualified so far. THIS IS AN UPDATE INCLUDING THE RESULTS OF THE GUILDFORD L3 MEET. I'll do another update after Sutton & Cheam and the Leander qualifer). However, you really need to check this carefully because times may be missing (Arena League!) and anomolies do sometimes creep in. If in doubt check the ASA database (link below).
Any queries, please let me know.
