This is a Level 3 Licensed Meet giving qualification to County and Regional Competitions and for entry into L1 & L2 Meets.
 
VENUE Millfield School, Street, Somerset, BA16 0YD
 
POOL 8 Lane – 25m pool – electronic timing – with anti-turbulence lane ropes
 
AGE GROUPS
Male  9, 10, 11, 12, 13/14, 15/16, 17 & over
Female 9, 10, 11, 12, 13/14, 15/16, 17 & over
 
Minimum age for entry is 9  years
 
AGE AT DATE 31 March 2019

Entry fee is £6.50 per event entered and this will be invoiced through Go Cardless direct debit.

If you are able to offer assistance as an official please let me know as we have been requested to provide one official for every ten swimmers competing in a session.

YEOVIL SPRING FLING – MEET ENTRY GUIDANCE from your coaches:

Academy Squads:
Bronze Academy – There is NO requirement to enter this competition
Silver and Gold Academy – You should aim to enter the 100m IM and all 4 50m events (if you are not yet comfortable to swim one of them, then you may leave one out). Gold Academy are welcome to add 1-2 100m events if they feel comfortable racing them.

Skill Development:
If you are confident in racing a 400m event, then follow the Age Dev Guidance below.
Skill Development should aim to enter the 200m IM and 1 additional 200m event. You should then add a selection of 50m and 100m events of a wide number of strokes to total no more than 4-5 events per day and no more than 2 events per session.

Age Development:
Age Development should aim to enter 1 400m event, the 200m IM and 2 additional 200m events. You should then add a selection of 50m and 100m events of a wide number of strokes to total no more than 4-5 events per day and no more than 2 events per session.

Competition:
If you are of Regional and National standard then there is NO requirement to enter this event.
Competition swimmers should aim to enter a wide range of strokes and distances and aim for 3-4 events per day. For individual guidance please talk to Eli, Marc or Lisa.

Performance Squads:
There is NO requirement to enter this event.
If you haven’t yet achieved Regional Qualifying times, and are closer to achieving these Short Course, then please speak to Marc or Lisa as to whether you should enter.
