Description

Entries are open for the 2020 Swim England (South West) Summer Regional Championships which will take place as follows:

Age Group Swimmers (Age 14yrs and under on 31 December 2020)

Saturday 25 April - Sunday 26 April, at Millfield School, Street

Saturday 2 May  - Sunday 3 May, at Hengrove Park, Bristol

Youth Swimmers (Age 15 yrs and over on 31 December 2020)

Friday 8 May (Bank Holiday) - Sunday 10 May, at Plymouth Life Centre

There are two exceptions to this:

  1. The male and female 1500m events for all ages will take place on the afternoon of Saturday 2 May at Hengrove Park
  2. The male and female 800m events for all ages will take place on the afternoon of Sunday 10 May at Plymouth Life Centre

Please see the meet pack for a programme of events. Please note that all qualifying times are short course and both consideration times and qualifying times are shown. A consideration time does not guarantee entry to the meet, unlike a full qualifying time which does guarantee entry.  The electronic entry form on this web site shows consideration times.

Entry times must have been achieved at a meet licensed at level 3 or above, since 1 October 2019 and must appear on the national rankings database. It is not possible to use "custom" entry times for this meet.

Please submit entries by midnight on Thursday 9 April; I can accept changes to your entries arising from meets running over the Easter weekend (i.e. new events and faster qualifying times), but you will need to advise me of these results by e-mail as soon as possible after the meet. Unfortunately there is simply insufficient time to complete all of the admin before the event closing date if I wait until after the Easter weekend's meets to start.

At all regional competitions the club will be assigned duties such as heat marshal, warm-up marshal and recording assistant. We are obliged to fulfil these duties and so we will be looking for volunteers closer to the event when we know which duties we have been allocated. If necessary, we will have to assign duties to parents of swimmers who are competing in the relevant sessions. Entries to the event are accepted on this basis.

All entries must be approved by your coach otherwise they will be rejected.
