Caradon at the Welsh Capital Open Meet 2017

Three Senior Performance Squad Swimmers from Caradon made the journey from Cornwall to compete at the Welsh Capital Open Meet at Cardiff International pool on 3rd - 5th November 2017. This was a level 1 meet Long Course and our swimmers had to achieve qualification times in order to compete in their chosen events. It was an amazing weekend of swimming for Isobel Aspen, Jackson Spry and Ben Suckling. There were many achievements for our Caradon Trio over the weekend with outstanding swims and personal bests being achieved, in some races against much older swimmers in the open age group categories.

Isobel, Jackson and Ben all bought home medals. In the 16 year age group, it was Gold for Isobel in the 200m Breaststroke with a time of 3.09.83 followed by a silver in 100m breaststroke in 1.29.75. Jackson won Bronze in the open age group category for the 1500m Freestyle with a time of 18.30.30 and a Gold in the 100 Butterfly and a new personal best of 1:06.98 in the 16 year age category. A new personal best of 1.15.47 for Ben and a Gold in the 100m Breaststroke and a Silver in the 200m Breaststroke with a personal best time of 2.46.26 in the 15 year age category.

Huge congratulations to our swimmers.
