In the girls’ individual events, the top spots went to Ashleigh Cooper (13 and under 100m Breaststoke and 100m Freestyle) and Freya Harwood (13 and under 100m Fly).  These two girls were joined by Olivia Matfield and  Ellie Eva in the girls 13 and under Freestyle relay where they also claimed the top spot.

The boys 15 and under team put in an outstanding performance achieving first place finishes in all individual events; Jude Gould (100 Freestyle), Matteo Lo Biundo (100 Backstroke) and Daniel English (100m Breaststroke and 100m Fly).  The boys were joined by Ollie Owen for the freestyle and medley relays where they also took first place!

In the open age group, the boys also proved hard to beat with Harry Jones taking first in the 100m Fly and Jamie Brackston claiming first in the 100m Backstroke.

The final event was the Mens’ Open Freestyle relay.  This proved to be an exciting end to the evening where the Hitchin team, (Harry Jones, Jamie Brackston, Jayke Smith, Ollie Owen, Jude Gould and Alec Burchell), again finished on top.

Hitchin finished third on the night just behind Broomfield Park and Stevenage Swimming Clubs.  Over the three rounds, Hitchin Swimming Club finished tenth out of the twenty clubs that make up Division 2 of the London Arena League.
