Continuing from where they left off, and spurred on by older swimmers performances at the LAC the previous weekend, the Brompton 13&Under swimmers continued to show excellent improvement while competing in the final weekend of the 2018 Middlesex County Championships.
The 10-11 Girls (Mia Zarkovic, Sofia Witte, Anabelle Nash, and Trixie Hillier) started the weekend off with a bang, taking the Silver medal in the 200 Medley Relay. Mia continued her excellent racing, adding 2 more Gold medals to her collection by winning the 10-11 Girls 50m and 100m Breaststoke giving her a total of 6 medals including 3 Golds. Also adding to Brompton's record setting number of medals was Kynan Tallac-Botos who won the Bronze medal in the boys 12 years old 400 IM; his second Bronze of the meet and 11th (out of 12) race where he finished in the top 8 overall.
The rest of the small group of swimmers who attended the 3rd weekend of racing (Marius Tezier, Imogen Knight, Josh Hunter, Dimitar Draganov, Angelica Versoza, Tiggy Matthews, Tess McGill, Hana Wallrock) did an excellent job representing the club by supporting each other and hitting lifetime bests in almost every race.
A big thank you to all the coaches who worked with our swimmers over the 6 days of competition, and to the parents who volunteered at help at the meets and supported our swimmers from the stands.
