62 KASC swimmers took part in this years Somerset County Championships. Across the 4 weekends, swimmers took part in 592 races, resulting in 160 finalists and a staggering 37 gold medals. This is an amazing achievement for a small club like KASC, and speaks volumes to the commitment and talent of our swimmers, their coaches and the support of parents and other volunteers. To mark this amazing achievement we are holding a social event open to the whole club, including parents, masters and all volunteers (if they are brave enough).
We have provisionally booked Crazy Climb at Redpoint, Winterstoke Road, Bristol on Sunday 29th April. Crazy Climb is an indoor interactive climbing centre suitable from age 6 and above very similar to the centre we have used for the last 2 years. Each session will take 25-30 swimmers/climbers, at a cost of between £10-£14 per person, subject to final numbers. We have 1 session booked, 12:30-13:45 and a second for the following hour on hold for a couple of days subject to confirmation of numbers.
More details on Crazy Climb can be found on the Red Point website, redpointbristol.co.uk
Please note exact cost and session can’t be confirmed until numbers are known.
If you would like to attend please email me directly on firstname.lastname@example.org, with a list of all ‘climbers’ who wish to take part. Should there be more interest than spaces, I will allocate on a first come first served basis. An email requesting a space will be seen as a commitment to pay for the event, final payment will be made using Go Cardless. Last year, the similar event saw the 1st session sell out in less than 24 hours (hence securing the second session), so please respond promptly so if required the 2nd session can be taken up.
Any questions, please ask.
