Open Meet Update

It's been a busy few weeks for Kettering ASC.

Over the weekend of 12/13 March, 26 swimmers took part in the Rugby SC Open Meet, bringing home 18 Gold, 12 Silver and 10 Bronze medals. It was a first open meet for some, and a chance for a bit of post County Champs racing for others. PB's and Regional Qualifying Times were achieved!

The following weekend, 7 of our Massters swimmers raced at the Calverton and Bingham SC Masters Meet, demonstrating that swimming is a sport for all age groups. It was a first ever meet for some and they all did us proud. Individual medals includes 2 Gold, 6 Silver and 4 Bronze, plus a Gold, 2 Silver and a Bronze medal in the relays. Great work team.

Finally, we joined our friends at Corby Swimming Club for their annual long course open meet on 26/27 March. Just two afternoons and the opportunity for long course swimming - a first time for several of our members. 33 swimmers competed, bringing home more PB's, more Regional Qualifying Times, Club Records and 5 Gold, 3 Silver and 6 Bronze medals. A live stream service was available which meant that even Coaches Jac and Howard, at home with COVID, were able to watch and cheer.

Next up for KASC is the first round of the Leicester Diddy League on 2nd April before the Norwich Easter Meet from 15-17 April.
