Round Up of English Summer Nationals 2022

The Engish National Summer Championships 2022 is open to swimmers who did not qualify for events at the British Summer Nationals (i.e. top 25 Swimmers for each event in Great Britiain) but were ranked in the Top 20 for each event in England.

Huge congratulations to Pip Cinpoes, our English Nationals Summer Championships 2022 qualifier, for some great PBs over the course of the competition.

PIP CINPOES qualified for the 400m IM and 200m IM for English Nationals.

First up was the 400m IM which took place on the first day of English Nationals (5th August 2022).  Pip entered into the event with a time of 4:59.90.  Whilst not securing a PB in the heats, his time of 5:01.29 saw him qualify in 10th place for the finals in the 15 year old age group.

Pip's swim in the final was outstandng and he managed to secure an impressive 4th place with a time of 4:53.34 knocking a huge 6 seconds off his original PB entry time.

6th August saw Pip have a day of rest before competing in the 200m IM on 7th August with an entry time of 2:21.05.  Pip swam well and achieved a PB of 2:19.40 which saw him qualify as third fastest going into the final.  Despite swimming yet another PB, Pip finished 4th in the final, agonisingly missing out on a Bronze medal.

Huge Congratulations to Pip on his impressive swims at his first British and English Nationals.  The club are extremely proud of your achievements.
