Plymouth Leander Winter National Qualifier 2017

26 swimmers from varying squads competed at the Plymouth Leander Winter National Qualifier being held at the Plymouth Life Centre on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th November 2017. This was a long course meet and gave the swimmers an opportunity to update their long course times. For some of our swimmers it was the first time swimming long course and they were able to set down times in this category.

We couldn’t of been prouder of all their achievements, not only achieving personal bests but coming away with medals too. Our medal haul for the weekend was 16 Gold, 5 Silver and 13 bronze.

On Sunday, the presentation of Top Girl and Top Boy were announced. These went to two of our swimmers, Lily McGowan and Matthew Clowes of our senior performance squad. Congratulations to them both, very well deserved.

Huge thanks to Brett, our coach for all the pre and post race talks to our swimmers and to Claire and Teresa our Team Managers, a vital role this weekend.

Caradon’s overall team position out of the 28 clubs competing was 6th, which we are extremely proud of.
