Youths Shine in World Class Facilities

Chelsea and Westminster Youths raised their game to compete at the World renowned London Aquatics Centre  at the Middlesex County Championships. With multiple personal bests so early on in the long course season, the team look set to have a superb series of swims leading up to Regionals and Nationals.

Coach nominated stand out swims include:

Alex Rowson -100 Free

Did a very good job of sticking to his race plan, especially when the other competitors went out fast. Alex prevailed and won the event.

Daniel Leznin - 100 Fly

A really strong swim in an event he rarely swims. His aggressive underwater phases built him quite a lead off the start and turn.

Ben Bradshaw - 200 Free

One of his last events for the weekend, Ben sustained performance throughout all of his events.

Maia Dunleavy's 200 Free

An event that Maia doesn't normally like swimming. Maia delivered her fastest time over two years and executed processes really well.

Junior Performance continued to show personal best progression and depth throughout finals, representing CWSC in multiple events - an exciting future for the club. Coach stand out swims:

Priya Caswell - 50/200 breastroke

Priya had a great weekend, swimming personal bests in her 200 breastroke and executing processes really well. This lead to a bronze medal. In her 50 breastroke, Priya transferred feedback between heat and final superbly leading to a silver medal.

Lauren Shaffer - 200 fly

Lauren built through the race and swam a controlled event, leading to a County win on her Middlesex County debut.

Maddy Whittles  - 100 fly

Maddy swam to a personal best time and represented the club in her first ever final.

Aryaan Din - 50/100 breastroke, 50/100 freestyle

Great to see the maturity in delivery from Aryaan between heat and finals in his breastroke events. Aryaan also swam some good personal bests in his freestyle events.

Oliver Ritchie - 50 fly

Swimming a huge personal best Oliver rocketed down the pool into a final position.

The youth champs was an impressive delivery and indication of solid work being delivered across the whole programme - great job all.
