National Performance Squad
continue process prep in Bristol
Last weekend the National Performance Squad travelled to Bristol for an in-training, process focus meet. The majority of the squad had a busy programme over the weekend, and stuck to a skill focussed delivery during some tough racing. Maintaining sight of the end of cycle outcome is important when racing during a couple of heavy training weeks - National Performance squad swimmers who were superb at this were Alex Rowson in his 100/200 freestyle and Christy Moon in his last event of the week the 400 IM. Christy battled a good race with a Loughborough University swimmer on the last leg of the IM, finishing in a reputable 60. split during his freestyle leg. Executing processes under fatigue and encouraging a race tough mindset bodes very well for a few weeks time when most of the swimmers will be dropping down into the British Championships. Well done to all swimmers for keeping momentum during this meet.
