Upcoming galas - your support required
Dear Parents,
you will be aware that our club is staffed by volunteers and that all the meets we attend are too.  I would therefore urge you to try and sign-up for at least one session in the upcoming gala programme for DD when your swimmer is competing.
I’ve attached the relevant info below for the next 3 galas that DD are attending.  You can sign up directly or you can reply to me.
The Club and London/Surrey Swimming really need your support.

1. London Region Summer Swimming Champs (Youth and Age Group)
From Kay Grimshaw, officials organiser:
Dear All
Please see the attached letter.  I have also attached a form, but any email letting me know which days/sessions you can do, would be brilliant.
I have had terrible computer problems and have lost much data, so I do apologise if you asked me to take you off the list last year and so are not expecting to hear from me again.  I was hoping to have a new programme in place so I can easily send an invitation to you and to which you can easily reply.  Soon I hope.
Details of the 2018 Summer Championships are on the website.
Hope to see you at the Championships.
Kind regards
2. Newham Meet - LAC
Messages from the organisers:
Change of start time
The start time has changed from 9.45am to 9.10am on both days with warm ups starting at 8am
Race sponsorship
We are offering swimmers/parents the opportunity to sponsor a race. If you are interested please let me know but remember that this is offered on a first come first serve basis. The cost of sponsoring a race is £10 and it involves a message placed on the title of your chosen race. This is due to close on 1 st April 2018
As it’s a Level 1 competition, there are strict licensing guidelines that we must adhere to and for this we need officials to make it happen. I urgently need your help to get the required number of officials for each session so please let me have the details of your officials that can help for both days as we need all the help we can get.
Subject to having sufficient officials on the day we will try to accommodate mentoring at our meets so please do let me know if any of your trainees would like a mentored session.
Once again, thank you to all everyone for their patience and understanding whilst waiting for this email to be published.  If in the meantime you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me on
Thank you.
3. Surrey Spring Meet
The organisers are still very short of help at the moment - please volunteer if you can.  No experience at all necessary for non-tech.  Links are included below to sign-up.
So far NO parent from DD has signed up!
Message from the organisers:
As per the Promoter's Conditions every club entering is expected to provide volunteers.  As yet, there have been no volunteers from your club for either official roles or non tech roles.  Please pass on to your officials and parents and ask them to sign up as soon as possible using the link below.
This meet is very low on officials for Sessions 2 and 3 - currently there are not enough to run the meet even at a Level 4.  Every session is low on non-tech volunteers - particularly the second weekend.
