The South West Championships have started!
This annual event sees the best swimmers in the south west competing against each other in heats and finals. More importantly it falls within the qualifying window for summer national competitions where only the best will qualify to compete.
The first weekend held at Plymouth Life Centre, over the bank holiday weekend, was for the qualifying swimmers who are aged 15yrs and over.
A great start for Clevedon with a strong performance in the 50mtr butterfly by Amelia Hancock in a time of 32.25. Well done great swimming!
Lucas Hayles performed well in the 50 freestyle, 50 fly and 100 fly, topping it all off in style by making the finals of the 200 Butterfly, a great achievement.
The 800mtr Freestyle race for all age groups also took part on Monday which saw Jacob Sell achieve a personal best with a time of 10.56.61. Great swimming!
