Six compete at Kent Masters

Six Bromley masters swimmers took on the challenge of Kent's finest at Medway today.  The team consisting Lucy Marchent, Judy Van Selm, George Carter, Alex Punnett, Fernando Bello and Jason Meers, competed in a variety of 50/100m events against the might of some of the giants in Kent Masters swimming.  With a total of 31 swims and twelve medals, including two golds, we held up the tradition of Bromley bringing home the bling.  At one point, Jason, so surprised by his times, even self selected for a drugs test!  Unfortunately, we couldn't hold on to the most improved club trophy, but will aim to return next year.  On a final note, just in case you think Masters swimming isn't serious, to win the men's 50-54yr 50m freestyle you would have had to have swum 27 seconds.... and an 81 year old lady from Hythe swam four events, including the 100m IM!  See you next year.
