Welcome to Jordan Welch, new Lead Junior Coach

Dear Members

We are pleased to announce that Jordan Welch will become the Lead Junior Coach on 30th July, when he starts on a full time basis with us. In this role, Jordan will lead the Junior Competitive Squad and the Potential Two Squad. He will also oversee the training of the Potential Three and Platinum Academy Squads in conjunction with our Assistant Junior Coach, George Longhurst.

The club has made the difficult but essential decision to appoint a new coach to the role of Lead Junior Coach as coach James Cameron has been off work for a extended period and is not expected back in a full time role in the near future.

Jordan has a great history in competitive swimming having swum, taught and coached in Australia and more recently as the Development Coach at Chesham Swimming Club. Additionally, over the last 6 months he has volunteered to attend our Sunday morning Performance sessions where he has been working closely with Kevin and Josh.

Club Chairman Sam Sansome commented: 'We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Jordan to the WDSC coaching team. He brings with him a wealth of experience in competitive swimming and is a great fit for us. We hope also that coach James will be able to return to us in a part time role in coming months making the coaching team the strongest it has ever been to match our growth & performance as a club and our ambition.'

We hope you give Jordan the great WDSC welcome that everyone has come to expect!
