DAY 3 - FINALS

Matthew, supported by team mates Kiera Heney and Abi Stemp, was in the first final events. Next to the 50m champion Alec White, Matthew knew he would be following in his wake for the first 50m. Alec turned first almost 0.5sec ahead of Matthew, when Matthew turned up the pace and chased down the leader, gaining with every metre. With 10m to go, Matthew was almost level but after a heroic effort had to settle for silver and second place. Matthew was delighted to with a silver medal, a second plus PB and an Open Age Club Champs record in a time of 52.15s. A great second silver medal of the week!

All looking forward to the girls' day with Kiera and Abi tomorrow!
