Junior Water Polo Development Tournament

The Kingston Under 14 Water Polo team travelled to Whitgift School over the weekend to compete in a Junior development tournament.  Kingston played in a group which consisted of West London Penguin, Beckenham, Kingston, Lewisham and Croydon.  The group came 3rd with 2 wins and 2 losses.  This was a great result bearing in mind this is a recently formed U14 Kingston team who only just started to play together as a team at the end of last season.  The teams they competed against have been established for a few years now so the results Kingston achieved were extremely good.  Team Manager and Coach, Steve Luff, was particularly pleased with the results and said that the two games they did not win were only lost by a single goal and they could have gone either way.  A  fantastic result from a developing team.  If all goes to plan, this team should go from strength to strength and develop into a team capable of contending for league wins in the future.

Next month the U16’s have been invited to play in a tournament at Basingstoke.  If the recent results are anything to go by, this could prove to be a very exciting prospect.

Well done to all players and many thanks to the supporters and parents for giving up their time and encouraging the team.

Many thanks.
