Sharks do it again!!
Leicester Sharks Competitive Swimming Club have reached the Arena Junior Inter-League National Finals for the second consecutive season. The first Leicestershire club to have achieved this remarkable feat. Progression was secured when the team took a top 4 place in Blackpool on the 7th of October in the Northern Area Final.
The club, still relatively in its infancy (formed 2011) has gone from strength to strength year on year. With a membership of around 350 members we cater for all athletes from playground to podium.
Leicester Sharks CSC will be representing the Nuneaton and District League in what is the most prestigious Junior League for Swimming in the Country. Athletes aged from 9yrs to 12yrs have been competing against 200+ other club from all over England in a range of individual events and team relays. This has now been whittled down to the top 8 who will be attending the National Final which takes place at Corby International pool on Sunday 25th November 2018.
Having swam in the Nuneaton league since 2011, and finished in the top 2 places for the last 4 years, makes the club one of the most successful junior team in recent years in the Midlands area.
Our mission statement is simple, but very much athlete centered, “To encourage and motivate all our athletes to achieve their personal goals and full true potential”. This allows athletes to gain the most from our extensive programme, from Learn to Swim through to our nationally recognised Training Performance Squad. This has seen our club swimmers represented at most levels in British Swimming.
