Team Maidenhead Lanzarote Warm Weather training Camp 2018
This year Team Maidenhead had their first warm weather camp La Santa Lanzarote, every day was a 7am wake up with breakfast at 7.30 then meet at our rendezvous at 8.20 to walk as a team to the pool for precook and suncream. After training from 9-11am the swimmers then did their post pool routine before walking back to drop kit off and get ready for our variety of land work. The land work included professionally led stretch sessions a yoga class as well as circuits and a spinning session.
After land work we headed straight for lunch which was at 1pm. Then the swimmers had R&R from 2-4.30/5 before having meeting s with the coach where logbooks etc would be done, then at 5.20 we walked back for precook and swim number 2 of the day 6-8pm.
Once we were done it was straight back for dinner at roughly 8.20/30, then a quick catch up about the days work and the following days timetable before they headed to bed and down by 10pm.
The facilities were fantastic with 3x8 Lane 50m pool spaces for land work as well as led sessions throughout the week, good room sizes in really good condition. The food was excellent with a huge variety breakfast, lunch and dinner.
As well as having shops on site for the swimmers to pick up more snacks and water when needed.
The swimmers excelled them selves and acted in a professional manner all week in and out of the pool, doing the club, Team and themselves proud.
