This weekend the Stingrays competed at the Major Oak Meet, one of the targeted meets for the season and a great opportunity to qualify for both County and Regional level competition. The Major Oak medals are probably some of the best you will get at an open meet and the CABSC team certainly took their fair share of them - at the end of the weekend the medal tally for the team was an amazing 23 golds ( James C, Ruby, James B, Ella C, Jenna, Elspeth, Emily, Ella T), 15 silver (Matthew, Jensen, Elspeth, Ruby, Ella T, James B, Noah, Toby, Ella C ans 15 bronze (Oliver, Matt, Jenna, Tom, Esme, Frankie, Toby, Elspeth and Ruby).
Well done to James C who won each of the elimination rounds to win the Junior boys skins and also to Tom Giles who finished 5th in the Senior Boys.
Finally, big congratulations to Ruby Wetherill who set 2 new 9 year old records - the 200m backstroke in 2.59.27 which was previously set by Rosie Rudin in 2008 and the 100m breaststroke in 1.40.40. An amazing achievement - well done Ruby!
Thank you to Mansfield for being such great hosts and to our poolside team who as always do a great job to support our team.
