Message from Head Coach
FSC Rockin’ in November! What a productive month of competitive and fun filled swimming!
The month kicked off with a very competitive round 2 of the National Arena League Gala held at the Hart Leisure Centre Saturday evening November 10th. FSC finished the gala in a well fought 5th place with 220 points which proved to be enough for selection in the promotion gala for round 3, again to be held at the Hart Leisure Centre Saturday, December 8th starting at 7:00pm.
Come on out and support FSC, it promises to be a very exciting evening of swimming!!
Here comes the FUN!....Masters Verses the Kids Gala!! What a GREAT evening of competition, cheers from the balcony, cheers from the kids and cheers from the Masters as many of the races came down to the wire. When the dust had settled it was the kids that ruled the evening winning by just ONE POINT! Looks like this event will be a permanent fixture on the competition calendar for many seasons to come!
Last but not least, FSC travelled to Wycombe for a full weekend of swimming November 24-26, with distance events Friday evening and 3 full sessions Saturday and Sunday. FSC swimmers tallied 135 PB’s from 158 swims (85%)! And achieved 51 County Qualifying times! What a fantastic weekend of swimming!!!
The success of all of our FSC swimmers during the month of November is a credit to how hard you are all working, let’s keep up the good work and finish off 2018 with a December to remember!
Message From Chairman
Heading into the festive season and the Club is running in full steam mode! Across all intiatives and competitions, I wanted to pick the Masters vs Kids gala, which was an incredible night full of fun and laughter. One which I am happy to announce will become an annual event! Thank you to all who took part and we hope to have more such fun and bonding events in the future, well done all!
The Masters suffered a narrow defeat at the hands of the Kids in the 125th Anniversary gala – this was enjoyed by all and the noise generated pool side was unlike anything else!. Some fantastic races with very close finishes and lots of relays. The Masters will be looking for revenge next year…
