Would any WSSC Officials able to assist with this Gala please complete this officials form and return direct to the Wycombe co-ordinator - thanks

Accepted entries are dependent upon us being able to obtain sufficient volunteer officials to meet the licence conditions. Wycombe District Swimming club recommend that you make refundable travel arrangements and Hotel bookings. In the unlikely event that we are unable to run the whole event as programmed we do not accept responsibility for any costs arising out of pre-paid travel arrangements.

Our priority has been to include as many swimmers as we can to allow them the opportunity to obtain the Level 1 times they require. Therefore please note:

  • There may not be enough seating poolside for all athletes. Additional seating and warm up areas will be provided in the sports hall. This will be a cooler environment and better for the swimmers.
  • You must sign in for each session by the start of warm up. Otherwise your entries will be scratched and you will not swim.
  • Swimmers must not stay in the changing rooms, they are for changing only.
  • Large bags must be put in the lockers (padlock required)
  • The warm ups will be busy.  Teams are expected to manage their swimmers, the community pool will be available for the whole event for continuous swimming the sports hall will be available for land training/pre and post-pool training.

Due to our prioritisation of swimmers over spectator space, it is unlikely there will be enough space for everyone to stay and watch the whole event and we would encourage you to try to vacate seats if you don’t have a swimmer swimming.

You may not reserve seats or occupy them with bags or coats

You must not block fire exits or access ways Swimmers will only be allowed in seats if allocated by the organisers.

Designated wheelchair spaces must be vacated for those with additional needs

We suggest where possible you forgo the delights and warmth of the balcony culture and consider leaving your swimmers under the supervision of your Team Managers. You can enjoy the retail and Cafe facilities of Waitrose (adjacent), John Lewis and Next (Cressex) and the Eden Centre (Via the free Park and Ride bus) or you can travel the short distance to Marlow High Street and the River Thames.

The 2019 Wycombe LC Premier Meet has been significantly oversubscribed and we are currently working on the accepted entries list. As per the entry conditions, it is the slower entry times that will be scratched, however, the process has to provide a fair and balanced reduction for each event and age group. This is a complex process, and until it is complete, we can't say who has been accepted or rejected.

The entry conditions state that accepted entries will be published by the 10th March. We appreciate that many swimmers need to make travel plans and therefore we aim to have the accepted entries published as soon as possible and hopefully well before that date. Further updates will be provided on the WDSC website by the 4th March.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

This is a Level 1 Long Course Meet in the first weekend of the National Qualifying Window (NQW) and it is anticipated that this will be very popular with Performance swimmers looking to post their qualifying times for the British Summer Championships and the slowest swimmers in each group rejected if over subscribed therefore this Meet is aimed at Competitive Squad swimmers who are looking to achieve National Times.

Can all interested swimmers please ensure they have signed up on line by Sunday 3rd Feb - NO LATE ENTRIES ACCEPTED

Any queries, please message

Thank you
