ASA Winter National Championships
Camden had a record 8 qualifiers travel to Sheffield for what has become the most exciting short course competition on the domestic swimming calendar. The meet proved to be a fantastic way for our swimmers to finish the short course season with everyone coming away with personal best times & invaluable racing exposure at the highest level. Special mention goes to Ally Larson who qualified for 3 finals (200 IM / 200 FC / 100 Fly) & Lauren Brantley (200 Fly).
Anna Ntountounaki continues to shine since joining Camden
Anna recently swam at the World Short Course Championships in Hangzhou, China. Whilst there she set 2 National Greek Short Course Records in 50 Fly (26.24) finishing 18th and 100 Fly (57.42) finishing 13th in the Semi-Final.
Anna then went onto represent Queen Mary’s University at the British University Swimming Long Course Championships (BUCS) in Sheffield, where she became Camden’s first BUCS Champion claiming Gold in the 100 Fly and Silver in the 50 Fly.
Building on the two previous competitions, Anna has just got back from the Greek Winter National Championships where she won the 50/100/200 Fly events setting Championship records along the way, all whilst gaining qualification to this years World Long Course Championships in South Korea. Congratulations Anna on all your recent success, long may it continue!
Middlesex County Championships
Camden Swiss Cottage was a force to be reckoned with at this years county championships. All of the early season hard work was highlighted & on display for all too see. As a club we collected 112 medals in total across both Age & Youth competitions (26 Gold 52 Silver 34 Bronze). Camden came away as Top Youth Club for the first time in recent history, in a dominant team effort across the board.
Ellie Simmonds travels east to Singapore
Ellie who trains with Camden’s Performance Gold squad recently returned from a 2 week training camp with British Para-Swimming. The camp posed as chance to acclimatize to the eastern culture 18 months before Tokyo 2020. Well done Ellie, what a brilliant opportunity!
Camden qualify for National Arena League ‘B’ Final 2nd year in a row
36 of Camden’s finest made the journey to Cardiff on Saturday 2nd March. As we’ve come to expect the competition was fierce, with the UK’s leading clubs descending to compete for the title of National Champions. Camden placed a valiant 8th position.
Special mentions go to Ally Larson who won Top Girl for her performance in the 200 IM. Leo He for winning the boys 14/u 100m Butterfly & the boys 14/u Freestyle relay for their win also.
Camden are very proud of the whole team for qualifying for such a prestigious club event in consecutive seasons. We look forward to next season’s competition.

Ally Larson, Jackson Olin & Anna Podurgiel had the honor of representing Camden as part of the London Region team that recently competed in Ireland. The competition proved as another invaluable experience to gain an insight on what it is like to travel, train & compete as part of an international squad. The meet itself was of an excellent standard offering A&B finals with all of our swimmer coming away with multiple final swims & medals for their efforts. Adam Taylor was also representing Camden as part of the coaching team. Well done all, Camden Swiss Cottage SC is very proud of you!
Camden Medley Challenge Invitational
A huge thank you to all of the volunteers who helped the club run its very first external competition. Without every single one of you who stepped in to help, the club it wouldn’t have been the huge success that it was! As a club we’ve had great feedback from every team that entered & are now looking to build on this for the 2019/2020 season. Congratulations to every swimmer that entered & to Ealing for becoming the top visiting club!
