Rushmoor Royals aim for County success

Rushmoor Royals are heading towards the 2020 Hampshire County Championships looking for success.  At the meet, taking place across three weekends at the end of January and the beginning of February, the best swimmers in the county come together to compete in age groups from 10 years to Open across distances from 50m to 1500m covering all strokes and relay events.

Seventy-seven Royals swimmers are entered for the championships and with 527 qualifying swims the club has the highest number of qualifiers, competitors and events in the county which Head Coach Kim Hill was particularly proud of:

“It’s an amazing achievement from all our swimmers and I am looking forward to seeing them working together as a team and compete to the best of their ability.  The County Championships are the first major stepping stone on the National Competition Pathway and due to the size of the county, and therefore the number of swimmers vying for qualifications, achieving the qualifying times is no mean feat”
