AMBER BLOOMFIELD

Amber had a busy few months. In July she collected two Surrey County Athletes’ medals – a bronze in the 200m and a gold in the shot-put.

Amber represented the Surrey County Cross Country team in November at the Cross Country Inter-counties in the Midlands.

Amber was also awarded three cups by her running club Croydon Harriers for her 2019 performances.

WESTCROFT JUNIOR AQUATHLON ORRIN AND TAY BLAIR

The Westcroft Junior Aquathlon was held at Westcroft Leisure Centre on 7th September. An aquathlon is a swim-run race catering for children ages 8-16 years who will be racing in the TriStar and Youth distances. The swim/run distances varies according to age groups from 2 lengths/600m for under 8 years up to 16 lengths/3,600m for age 15-16 years. Congratulations to Orrin Blair who finished in 4th place and also to Tay Blair who finished in 3rd place. Great results girls!

BIATHLON QUALIFIER MIA KELLY

On October 13th, Whitgift School hosted a Biathlon qualifier for various local schools to compete in. Mia Kelly was representing Cumnor House in swimming 50m and running for 800m. The peacock did the 5m strut!

NOAH FINDELL

Noah Findell has also had a busy few months.

On November 16th, Noah represented Team Croydon in the U13s Boys event at the London Youth Games Cross Country event at Parliament Hill.

Noah finished 28th out of 238 runners in his age category and the U13 team came in 5th place.

A week later, Noah was competing in the U14s British Modern Biathlon Championships held in Nottingham, and ending up winning individual Bronze. Well done Noah!
