Training cancelled
In line with the latest Swim England guidance issued this evening the CABSC Committee have decided that as from Wednesday 18th March 2020 all sessions are to be suspended. For many of our club members swimming is a huge part of daily life and routine but we can't consider our daily training schedule as 'essential contact' or 'necessary travel'. This decision and all those we have made this week have not been taken lightly and have been made with the best interests of our swimmers, their parents, our coaches and officials and all those who support in the centres where we train and compete. At this time we are unsure how long the closure will last, and we ask for your patience and understanding during this unprecedented situation. We will of course keep you updated on Team Unify email of the implications. Big thanks to the members of the committee who have been working hard behind the scenes this week, also juggling the impacts the virus in their day jobs too. And finally we are proud of how our dedicated team of swimmers have taken this news, the disappointment of Sunday must have been hard and those swimmers who have been working towards their own personal goals this season must be frustrated but they acted like true sports people with respect. We hope that you understand why we have made this difficult decision now and we hope that weýre all back where we want to be, in the pool very soon with the Stingrays ready for action. On behalf of all of the Committee, please stay safe and healthy.
