Club 50s Sept Results & Nov Registration

I hope all your swimmers enjoyed the Club 50s on Sunday, it was great to see so many Group 1 to 3 swimmers, you could see some of them a little nervous but they soon seemed to get into the swing of it.

We also had a number of parents and older swimmers taking their Timekeepers course, all of them passed yes well done to you all.

We had some great times, the top 5 from the 50m Freestyle were as follows;

Session 1

(in seconds)

Session 2

(in seconds)

Isabella Kalverboer -8.11 s 1st Victoria Ayles -2.54 s
Grace Milnes -6.90 s 2nd Omar Swarray-Deen -1.90 s
Iason Xanthakis -6.62 s 3rd Samuel Baker -1.76 s
Daniel Traynor -5.15 s 4th Harry Lines -1.71 s
Sophie Fraser -4.22 s 5th Jack Eyles -1.67 s

How does this work, a swimmer has to have swum their first Club 50s to achieve a baseline time. Their next swim is then compared to this and the difference in time (hopefully they swim quicker) is then recorded.

The person with the biggest time difference is the winner and receives the White Club 50s swimming hat.

For every time a swimmer attends the Club 50s, they are given a score for each time they achieve a faster time. These are then all added together and at the Awards evening, and are then recognised under the Club BAGCATS awards (for more details refer to the Glossary under Information from the top menu).

To see your swimmers times from the Club 50s, logon to the website and from the menu on the left select My Account followed by My Meet Results and then select the tab Results by Meets.

A big thank you again to all our volunteers and officials, without which we could not run these events.

It was nice to see some new people too, some of whom looked more scared than their swimmers smiley, however by the end of the evening everyone looked as if they had enjoyed themselves.

We have now opened up the November Club 50s event, so please feel free to sign up your swimmers on this event by using the Edit Commitment button (not forgetting to tick each event for the single session they are attending) and to volunteer, click the Job Signup button again depicting the role you would like to do and for which session.
