Caroline Faithful has recently returned from the 9th Down Syndrome World Swimming Championships held in Nova Scotia, Canada, where she was the team captain of the 25 strong GB Squad.
Caroline, who lives in South Petherton, and is a member of the Taunton Deane swimming club, got through to 4 finals.
She won a Bronze Medal in the 200m Backstroke in a personal best time, a Silver in the 4x200m Freestyle relay, and a Bronze in the 4x100m Freestyle relay.
She also won 1 Gold and 2 Bronze Heat medals, and had additional Personal bests in the 200m and 400m Freestyle and the 100m Backstroke.
Caroline said she will now be training hard for the next European Championships which will be held in Sardinia in September 2019.
