Swim Wales Open Masters 2019
Six Caradon Masters travelled to the Wales National Pool in Swansea over the weekend of 2nd and 3rd March to compete at the Long Course (50m) Swim Wales Masters and Seniors Open 2019. This competition also incorporated the GB 1500m masters event of which only 64 spaces were available. Swimmers had to achieve a qualifying times to compete. Caradon were delighted that Paul Hatton qualified and competed in this event and came first winning the British Masters Gold Medal in the age group 50-54.

Success continued for Caradon and Helen Kula-Przezwanski, with her 6 Gold Medals in 100m Free, 50m Fly, 200m individual medley, 100m Backstroke, 50m Free and 800m Free. In addition, Helen’s swims in the 100m Free with a time of 1.10.12 and 100m backstroke and a time of 1.20.43 earned her another two outstanding British records. Helen now holds an amazing 4 British long course records.
 
Further medals for Caradon and Vicki Buck took Two Medals, with a Silver Medal for 50m Breaststroke and Bronze Medal 200m Free with further placements of 4th Place 200m Backstroke, 4th place 50m backstroke, 4th place 100m Back and 5th place in the 50m Free. Samantha Crosby won 4 medals, Gold Medal 200m Fly, Gold Medal 50m Free, Silver medal 100m Fly and Bronze Medal 50m Fly. David Smith also won 4 medals with Gold 50m Back, Gold 50m Free, Gold in 50m Fly and Silver Medal in 50m freestyle. Susan Smith came 4th in 100m Freestyle and 6th in the 50m Free.
