UPDATE: Covid Guidelines for Tring Swimmers
Dear swimmers and parents,
With the easing of Covid restrictions on July 19th, TSC committee have met to discuss how we can continue to keep all our swimmers safe at training. We have also taken on board the requirements of the pool and the following will apply until the beginning of September at least, when we will next review our policy.
1. Swimmers should continue to attend the sessions they have already signed up for, letting squad coordinators know if they are unable to attend training.
2. Swimmers should do lateral flow tests (LFT) twice weekly, and swimmers should not attend training if they have any symptoms, if they have a positive LFT or PCR test or if they have been asked to isolate.
3. Please let us know if any swimmer receives a positive Covid test.
4. There will be a maximum of 8 swimmers per lane (there are usually less than this.)
5. Swimmers are to arrive swim ready and the changing rooms will not be used.
6. Swimmers must bring a mask and wear it whilst they are walking through the reception area to poolside.
7. Once poolside, swimmers should quickly get hats and googles on AT THEIR POOLSIDE PLACES, then move to the end of the pool AND GET STRAIGHT IN THE WATER.
8. Covid team members will be present at the start of most sessions to take the session register, but there may be some instances when the coach does the register. IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT SWIMMERS ARRIVE ON TIME TO MAKE SURE THIS REGISTER IS ACCURATE.
9. The swim gallery will remain closed to parents.
10. Swimmers should follow the pool one way system, leaving via the side door.
11. In the unfortunate event of any swimmer testing positive for Covid, we will use the register to inform other swimmers who have had recent contact with that swimmer and they will be required to refrain from training for 10 days.
Parents, please can you go through these guidelines with swimmers to make sure they understand them. Please get in touch if you have any questions and we thank you for your continued cooperation.
