Be Inspired into Summer……!

Message from Head Coach

March was a month for many chasing regional qualifying times with a weekend at the Atlantis Regional Qualifier held at the K2 centre 17th/18th, the Guildford Regional chaser 24th /25th and at Portsmouth over the Easter weekend 30th, 31st and 1st.  Several swimmers posted some excellent swims and many Regional Base times and a few automatic times were achieved by FSC swimmers participating in the meets. Congratulations to the swimmers who achieved their regional times and to those swimmers who swam to personal best times!  It is a tribute to all of the hard work you have put in, keep it up and perform at your very best in May at the Regional competitions!

Let’s not forget all of the up and coming swimmers who made it through a very long and hot weekend poolside at the Hart Leisure Centre.  Many of our age group swimmers took part in the meet and many swimmers posted excellent results, lots of personal best times were recorded with some swimmers taking over 10 seconds off their previous best times!  Keep up the hard work!

The future of FSC competitive swimming is looking better and better, well done to all!

Message From Chairman

Hope you had a good Easter break although it seems quite far away already! March was quite exciting as we had the initial announcement and setup of Project Fusion X, an innovation backed initiative to help our swimmers improve further with the introduction of data analytics insights and tech enabled methodologies. This will be finalised this month and agreed with the coaches as to how it will be implemented. We are also very excited to announce that Sean Bailey, RR Head coach has now joined the coaching team! Sean will start with us soon, after completing his notice period with RR. Hope to a great April with many competitions coming, Go FSC!

Message from Treasurer – PLEASE Update Standing Orders

Please check your standing orders are correct and any balance due is paid, however small!  This seems to be a continuing issue and will be a regular moan……….thank you to those who have addressed this already.

We are holding our Annual BBQ at Alice Holt again this year, although a tad earlier in the year. It will be on Saturday 9th June so please pop this in your diaries.  Tickets will be on sale soon so please keep your eyes peeled for the ticket sales. This is the perfect opportunity to really socialise with other children/parents over a nice cold drink and burger! Fingers crossed for sunshine!

We are getting closer so setting this in stone, hopefully full details will be provided next month!

Social Secretary

Rob has been with FSC for a number of years and is standing down as a coach due to work commitments with his business, RD Groundcare.  We will still see him at the pool with the Masters Team and for occasional cover, thank you Rob.

Thank you parents for your patience during the adverse weather conditions and the cancellation of session by our pool providers, this is done for the safety of our swimmers.  A big thank to those who made it to the Atlantis Meet!

5. Bracknell Masters

Congratulations to ALL the Masters who took part at the Bracknell Masters the morning after the snow! Lots of medals won by our fantastic Masters Team.

This is a reminder as we have received a few questions on payments and payment references. We kindly ask you to note down and keep the below.

Meet and Event Payments Account

All meet, gala and social events payments should be made using the following payment details: Sort Code 20-31-06 Account Number 63534898.

The above sort code and account number should be used for any meet, competition, social and other future event payments. For every payment, you will be asked to use the equivalent reference (i.e. XXX18 + LAST NAME) via a corresponding email from the Events Secretary or Club Secretary. Please help us by making sure you include the right reference for your payments, as any inconsistency creates additional workload for the secretaries and the Club Treasurer. To assist you in this, please note down the below.

Membership Fee Payments Account

Monthly membership fees should be paid via standing order only on the 1st of the month using these payment details: Sort Code 20-31-06 Account# 83614506.

When setting up the standing order, kindly include the Last/First name of the swimmer as a reference (for example, SMITH JOHN). Please note that if you have more than one swimmers, you should setup a standing order for each one. This will help us track the payments better and avoid building up email traffic in your inbox by sending you unnecessary follow up communications. Kindly make sure you are paying the right amount for your child/squad. If you change squads, you will be sent information on the new membership fees by the Membership Secretary, with instructions to update your standing order.

No other payments except monthly membership fees are made into the membership fees account.

We hope the above helps. If you have any questions or clarifications, please visit our help desk (every Sunday from 5pm-6:30pm in the Farnham Leisure Centre hall) or you can contact a member of the Club Committee.
