“Reach for the Wall”
Message from Head Coach
April began with a small contingent of FSC swimmers head down to Portsmouth over the Easter weekend in a last attempt to qualify for the Regional meets in May. Good swims were turned in by those attending and personal best times were recorded pushing ever closer to the automatic qualifying times. Well done to those who gave up their Easter weekend!
The following two weekends were taken up with the Surrey Age Group Championships Development meets held over 6 sessions at the Guildford Spectrum. A handful of FSC swimmers were in attendance mostly due to the competition being held during the school Easter break. Those FSC swimmers competing posted some very big improvements and won a few medals to show for their efforts! Well done!
The following weekend a larger group of FSC swimmers met up for a full days competing at Haslemere Leisure Centre. This proved to be a fun meet and lots of personal best times were recorded and medals won by many FSC swimmers. This proved to be a very positive meet for our developing swimmers and a great confidence builder. Well done to all FSC swimmers in attendance!
Keep up the GREAT work you are putting in at practice for a super conclusion to this swim season, Regional Championships are coming up in May and Cranleigh Open Meet in June.
Message From Chairman
I spent some time in April watching our younger squads training and racing in the various meets we attended and was delighted with their level of improvement! There is great positive energy and determination in achieving their personal goals; from a better turn to a great time. One of the key objectives of our new coach (Sean Bailey) will be to focus on these younger age groups to help and motivate them to improve further. Fantastic results throughout the month, well done all! - on another note, looking forward to warmer days in May!"

Surrey Masters 30th June
Please make sure everybody enters this- we hope to have as many as possible attend and enter lots of relays – there are 25m races for newbies and a curry swim down as tradition afterwards.
Please check your standing orders are correct and any balance due is paid, however small! This seems to be a continuing issue at present and thank you to those who have addressed this already.
