Camden Tops at Middlesex Masters Championships
A total of 28 Masters from 19yrs up to
66yrs competed in all age groups to win the Combined Top Team and
the Ladies Top Team prizes at the Middlesex Masters and Age
Group Championships on Sunday 3 June at Barnet Copthall pools. The
Camden ladies narrowly beat Barnet Masters to win the top slot and
the Camden Men's team finished second behind Out To Swim. Camden
handily won the top combined team award to take home the
trophy.
The team went home
with an impressive 26 gold medals, 30 silver medals and 14 bronze
medals in individual events, alongside many individuals scoring
points for 4th, 5th and 6th place. The team won a further 12 golds,
4 silvers and 2 bronze medals in the relays.
A superb showing for
the Masters some of whom have not competed for many years and one
new Master who only learned to swim a year ago!
