“If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you”

Message from Head Coach

The only competitions in June were the Cranleigh Open Meet held Sunday, 10th and proved to be a very successful meet for FSC.  42 swimmers took part over the 3 sessions with many ‘new’ competitors racing for the very first time, as well as several of our more seasoned competitors and lots of FSC parents were poolside in the official roles.

Many swimmers came away with medals for their efforts and a great experience was enjoyed by all that participated.

Well done to all!!!

The first of our Club Championships took place on the 24th in a new partnership with Haselmere Swim Club combining our Club Championship event.  The meet took place at The Herons Pool in Haselmere, a beautiful 8 lane facility allowing swimmers from each team the opportunity to race in a more competitive environment.  Parents from both teams helped in hosting the meet which provided FSC and Haselmere swimmers an efficient and smoothly run meet in a friendly atmosphere.

The final Club Championship sessions will take place Sunday, July 1st again at The Herons Pool.

Lots of personal best times were recorded by FSC swimmers giving each swimmer a benchmark to work from in the upcoming season.

Message From Chairman

As we approach the end of the swimming year, June is quite busy! We kicked off our Open Water season with great attendance and increased demand working towards the Regional Open Water Champs, we had the club BBQ (great fun!), our Club Annual General Meeting, the Farnham Carnival and, last but not least, our joined Club Champs with Haslemere! Your feedback has been very positive so far and all session so far run like clockwork with some great times, PBs and great team spirit! Lets keep the momentum into July also and then get some downtime with hopefully some holidays for all, which is very well deserved!
