Bromley Swimming Club
excelled at the recent British Summer Nationals held in Sheffield
from the 24-29 July which saw the top 20 age group swimmers in
Britain fight it out for medal placings. Bromley swimmers performed
brilliantly collecting 3 golds, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals plus 9
top 10 placings. In the 14-16 years 4 X 100m freestyle girls relay,
Bromley fought hard and were rewarded with a silver medal, ranking
them now second in Britain.
Tamryn van Selm won 3
gold medals in the 14 year age group in the 50m, 100m &
200m freestyle. Tamryn also won bronze in the 400m freestyle.
Imogen Meers won silver in the 16 years 50m backstroke and teammate
Eliza Powell won bronze in the 50m breaststroke in the 14 year age
group. Further final placings were achieved by Evelyn Davis, Pravin
Mahendrakumar, Imogen Meers, Eliza Powell, Matthew Rogers, Tamryn
van Selm and Tom Woolley.

Summer Nationals followed on from 31 July - 4 August and again
Bromley swimmers delivered top performances. Imogen Meers won Gold
in the 100m free and Bronze in the 200m back. Teammate Ed Sellar
won a silver medal in the 14 years 50m freestyle, and Joe Dobb
brought home a silver medal in the 18 years and over 800m
freestyle. Achieving top 10 places were Alicia Corver, Annabel
Smith and Pravin Mahendrakumar.
