Day three of the championships started with a bang for the green and blacks of Rushmoor Royals and the Mens 4x200m freestyle relay. Ranked 5th going into the competition they rose to the challenge and provided some great excitement for everyone who got up early on a Sunday morning. With Charlie P, Aiden G and Will T putting in some solid swims to leave the Royals in third place going into the final leg it was left to anchor man Andrew H to put in a storming last 50 to take the silver medal.
The rest of the morning session was left to the tough swimming girls in the 1500m freestyle with the Rushmoor swimmers taking the top two steps on the podium in the very first event (12yr). Ruby S is having an extremely impressive championships already and took her 4th Gold medal and second individual title with relay team mate Skye A-B also posting an impressive personal best time to take the silver medal. This was followed by Tash H following up her 800m bronze from Friday night with another bronze in the 15yr 1500m event.
The afternoon session saw the Royals 4x200m women squad of Jess C, Emily B, Tash H and Sam W ensure that the boys would not take all the relay headlines for the day by also posting a solid second place in their event. On to the Boys 1500m freestyle races where Theo M took away yet another medal with a silver in the 12yr event after taking a minute of his personal best time followed by relay anchor man Andrew H also posting a PB to take silver in the 17 and over age group.
