Club of the Year - SE East Region

At the SE East Region annual council meeting this Saturday 14thSeptember Modernian Swimming Club was presented with the SE East region Club of the Year award. 

These awards are given in recognition of the outstanding work our members put into their sports.  They highlight the dedication and enthusiasm of those that are making a difference.  This is a huge achievement for all of us here the club.   We were chosen from the 135 swimming clubs in the region.  

The SE East region winners for 2019 are:

Club of the Year– Modernian Swimming Club

Jeff Cook Salver– Derek Milton, Welwyn Garden Swimming Club

Long Service to Aquatics– John Bellis, South Beds Masters Swimming Club

Coach of the Year– Sue Purchase, St Felix Swimming Club

Technical Official of the Year– Ian Macleod, Southend Diving

Volunteer of the Year– Tom Baster, Basildon & Phoenix Swimming Club

Youth Volunteer of the Year– Canvey Island Swimming Club Youth Volunteering Team

Youth Achievement of the year– Zoe Parnham, Aqualina Synchro Club

Jo Young, once a Modernian competitive swimmer herself, is a volunteer coach, helper and parent.  The silver pin is awarded in recognition of her continued volunteer contribution to our club.  Thank you Jo we all appreciate your support, wealth of aquatic experience and swimming knowledge.
