Club records

The records for each age group can be accessed via a dropdown menu on the 'records' tab.

Junior = 16 and under, Open = all ages

For CCSC records, swimmers are 'aged-up' - the swimmers age is counted as at 31 December in the year of the swim, not at the day of the swim.

Strokes and distances

There are records at all strokes. The distances vary according to age group. The website shows the whole range and the board at Kingsmead displays a smaller set.

CCSC records are short course (25m pool) only - not long course (50m) or converted long course times. At present we do not keep long course records, or open water records.

Swimmers must be a paid up member of CCSC at the day of the swim. There are no specific requirements for gala type or level. Relay lead-off legs (recorded on an official results sheet) qualify but not other relay legs.

Claiming a record

To claim a record please contact the club's records administrator via the club secretary ([email protected]) The following information is required: swimmers name, date of birth, age at end of year, record claiming - distance and stroke, recorded time, name of gala record achieved at and date of gala. Please include a web link to the official results if possible.

The administrator will check the record in consultation with the Director of Swimming and the club's records administrator. Any disputes will be resolved by the club committee or a sub-committee.

We think the records on the Kingsmead board are correct but some records listed on the website only may not be up to date - let us know if you think any are wrong!
