Masters 1

For those past their first flush of youth, swimming with masters is an excellent way to keep fit and meet like-minded people.

All of the masters swimmers train from 5.00 till 6.00 pm on a Sunday.

Fees paid to SwimEngland are different depending on the level of competitioin desired. Masters 1 provides insurance to train, and is suitable for Herts Masters, Aylesbury Relay Gala, and Herts Senior League, but is NO GOOD for open meets like Barnett Copthall. The cost for 2018 is �17.20.

Masters 2 provides insurance to train, is suitable for Herts Masters, Aylesbury Relay Gala, and Herts Senior League, and is also GOOD for open meets. The cost for 2018 is �34.40.

The cost for Verulam Masters 1 or 2 Fees is �39.00 per half year.

Swim Club

The Swim Club is for swimmers. It offers development of swimming skills, and provides competition to meet swimmers' competitive (or not) desires. Swimmers can choose from events such as: internal time trials, our 'Verulam Club Champs' (events for only our squad), Hertfordshire Swimming's Peanuts and Major League events, the Arena Swimming League's events, many open meets (Novice, Sprint and Long Distance) and County and Regional Championships (for those who qualify).

Swimmers interested in joining can come along for a trial with a coach. Their stamina, stroke and diving abilities will be assessed, and providing space is available, s/he will be offered membership in one of three groups (Juniors, Intermediates, or Seniors). As swimmers progress and improve they move through the groups. We also have competitive squads for each of the three groups with their own dedicated training sessions.

Swim School / Learn-to-Swim - for age group: 5 & Over

Verulam Swimming Club has a Learn-to-Swim Programme using the Swim England�s National Plan for Teaching Swimming. It is run by qualified teachers with lots of help from club swimmers, where appropriate. So new and less confident swimmers get the attention they need. Children can join at any time after their fifth (5th) birthday.
