Pricing Policy for Economically Disadvantaged Swimmers
The notes below outline the pricing policy behind the fee structure, which are designed to provide every opportunity for swimmers to progress.
General Fee Structure
Daventry Dolphins is a not for profit organisation. It is organised in such a way that swimmers pay an Annual membership fee and squad training fees which is agreed by Committee. The Club has a range of squads and each squad has its own monthly squad training fee which is clearly explained to the fee payer. Each squad then has access to the appropriate number of sessions (pool time and land training) Acceptance of a place in a particular squad is deemed as acceptance of the requirement to pay the appropriate squad training fee.
In order to make financial transactions ‘traceable’, it is preferred that payments for monthly squad training fees are made by either monthly standing order or monthly direct bank transfer. Payments will be accepted by cheque or cash agreement with prior agreement by the Treasurer, if needed.
Temporary Payment Difficulties
Any full fee paying member of the Club who is having difficulty in paying their monthly squad training fees can discuss the problem with any member of the Executive Officers (Hon. Chairman, Hon. Treasurer or Hon. Secretary) in the strictest of confidence. The Executive Officers have the joint authority to determine appropriate temporary arrangements to help the payer through the temporary period. This could range from deferred or extended payment terms through to reduced payments for an agreed period of time. The Annual Club membership and Swim England registration fee is not subject to any reduction although the Club membership fee may be deferred or extended payment terms may be applied. Any application for assistance and the outcome is to be dealt with in strictest of confidence both by the Club and the Member. Any Member who breaks the confidentiality of the decision may have any preferential terms previously agreed withdrawn immediately. In the event that the Club is unable to support a swimmer financially, every effort will be made to obtain funding and or support from other sources.
Family discounts are offered to those who have 3 or more full paying members. A 25% discount will be offered to the third (plus) member(s) and should be the member(s) paying the lowest fees.
Where a request is made for financial support to attend galas and open meets the Club Committee will look at each application based on its merits. In the event that the Club is unable to support a swimmer financially, every effort will be made to obtain funding and or support from other sources.
