How to become a member of Daventry Dolphins Swimming Club

Initially the first point of contact is the Membership enquiries coordinator:

Mrs Rose Boyd-Coates: 07949947115 or email:

You will receive a response at the earliest opportunity.

The Honorary Club Secretary:

You will be asked some basic questions as to how old and what ability the swimmer is and then be asked to complete and return a taster application form. Following receipt, you will then be given a specific date to attend, together with information as to what you need to take with you.

However, you have to be a swimmer, minimum age 6 years old.

An example of the standard required would be for the applicant to be MINIMUM Stage 7/8 of the Amateur Swimming Association (The ASA) National Plan for the Teaching of Swimming.

In conjunction with the Daventry Leisure Centre, the Club has an Academy squad and this is a fast track opportunity for swimmers aged 6-8 years who are at Stage 6/7 ability to have the opportunity to attend in addition to their ‘learn to swim’ programme.

It is important to stress that:

The Daventry Dolphins are a competitive Swimming Club and that swimmers are trained to compete.

It is not a social swimming club.

We are not a teaching club and do not take non-swimmers.
