Development and Improvers

As at 1 January 2018

The development squads are the introductory squads to the club where we teach the basic skills that will form a good basis for a competitive swimming career. Progression is usually through the four squads, Mini Ds, D squad, D1 and D2, however, some swimmers may find training in our Improvers’ Squad is the best option as this squad will allow them to develop their skills in their own time.

Swimmers may be eligible to swim at Time Trials and Club Championships.  These are informal and low-pressure events that give swimmers the opportunity to put into practice the skills they learn in training.  For more information, please speak to your swimmer's coach.
