Lessons are £22 per 30 minute sessions, paid for on a monthly basis, and can be cancelled at any time with 4 weeks’ notice. Payments are automated and set up by the customer when registering for CSCSC Learn to Swim.

Once registered, you will receive a confirmation receipt and your swimmer is then able to immediately attend the lesson you have registered for. No further action is required.

Our Stages Co-ordinator Tom Brommage will oversee all classes and is always available to speak with parents about their child’s progression.

About Camden Swiss Cottage Swimming Club

At Camden Swiss Cottage Swimming Club, we offer high quality Learn to Swim provision for all in a fun, safe and professional environment.

Our staff are highly qualified with many years of experience teaching from early fundamental stages through to coaching Olympic athletes.

Programme Benefits

  • Small group sizes up to a maximum of 4 to 5 swimmers, enhancing progression.

  • An individualised and tailored approach enabling teachers to spend more time on each child’s development.

  • Many of our highly experienced teachers are all also qualified coaches.

  • We offer a consistent professional approach adhering to Swim England’s national curriculum.

We currently offer classes for Stages 1-5

Children will be continuously monitored to ensure progression through the appropriate stages and to build their confidence as a proficient swimmer.

We will assess every swimmers ability in the first lesson to ensure they will succeed within the registered stage. Should they not meet the entry criteria, they will be re-directed to an appropriate programme.

Upon completion of Stage 5, children will be on their way to becoming confident swimmers in all strokes and have the opportunity to join the Mallinson Stages 6-8 programme where they will have coaches delivering lessons, introducing your swimmer to basic competitive skills, including turns and dives.  They will then have the option to join an internationally recognised swimming club and enjoy swimming as part of the CSCSC community.

Rules and Instructions for attending lessons at ASL

Arrival

Please only arrive 5-10 minutes before the lesson start time, to get changed and make your way onto poolside. The teachers will register your child on the poolside at the beginning of the lesson. Please only come onto campus 15 minutes prior to the session time to make your way straight down to the pool.

Swimmers must be accompanied by an adult during the lesson.

What to bring

You should bring ID, as the security team may ask for this before allowing you to enter the building. Your child should bring a swimsuit, a towel, and any showering products they wish to use. Goggles and hats are advisable. We provide all equipment needed during the lessons.

Changing rooms

If your child is under the age of 8, and they need support, they should use the changing room suitable for that adult, for example, 5-year boy with mum can go into the females. Any children aged 8 and above must use the correct changing room for their gender. We also have an accessible changing room if you wish to use this instead.

Spectators (updated 25/05/2022)

We ask, where possible, to minimize the number of people coming to watch the lessons, to reduce the number of people on the poolside. We also ask that spectators not communicate with swimmers or teachers during lessons, to ensure that lessons run smoothly and uninterrupted. Any necessary communication must be directed to the Lead Teacher during lesson changeovers.
