All Maxwell members need to register as members of our governing body, SwimEngland (formerly and still sometimes referred to as the ASA). Whether you are a participant, teacher, coach or an officer responsible for running a club, you will find information here about the insurance included within your membership affiliation to Swim England, to protect you whilst you are taking part in our sport.
New members signify their agreement to the Terms and Conditions of SwimEngland membership when they join the club, and renewals are administered by the club in January each year. If you move clubs, you can take your SwimEngland membership with you.
Please note that the membership fees collected by Maxwell also include amounts levied by our SE Region of SwimEngland.
There are three categories of SwimEngland membership:
Category 1 (for members aged 8 and under, or who do not take part in competitive swimming e.g. masters)
Category 3 (for club volunteers).

Maxwell records the membership details (ASA number, category, date of birth etc) of all our members and this is very important information for entering meets - so if your details are not correct, or disagree with any of British Swimming's records then please let us know immediately, as this may affect your ability to compete, or volunteer as an official / helper.
