Dev 3 - Training to Develop

Major emphasis on stroke technique for swimmers normally aged 7 -10, plus basic endurance and speed. With an introduction to dry land training; the importance of stretching; nutritional requirements and mental preparation. Attendance at all sessions is strongly encouraged.

 To develop swimmers for entry into the Junior Age Group Squad

 Swimmers to learn key training features such as Individual Medley Order

 However swimmers are  encouraged to arrive 20 minutes  before the main swim session for  some Land Based Stretching.

 Attendance Criteria 

 Swimmers are expected to  maintain 75% attendance levels  over the course of the month

 Competition Criteria

 Swimmers should be available  for all Team Galas. 

 Swimmers to compete in at  least 4 meets per season.
